The Event / The Charity

The Event

300 excited riders start out on a journey through the night they won't forget. An opening 90 mile dash to Dover – the ferry won't wait! Darkness falls as we reach France; lights on, heads up, the pelotons speed through the night on wide, quiet roads. Fuelled by determination, stamina and much welcomed pit stops, dawn breaks. Legs are now weary but soon the morning haze lifts. Spirits rise as the French capital nears - at last that finish line is nearly in sight, though the ever present clock continues to quietly tick down…

The Charity

Scope are the charity behind this great event and have been since 2010. Scope works with disabled people and their families at every stage of their lives. From offering day to day support and information, to challenging assumptions about disability and influencing decision makers – everything we do is about creating real and lasting change.

We believe that a world where all disabled people have the same opportunities as everyone else would be a pretty incredible place for all of us. Together we can make it happen.

A Little About Me

Thanks for popping by, my name is Michael Tempest and I like to make websites. I currently live in London, UK. Where I work as a contract senior front end developer. I have been fortunate to work with some of the largest brands in the world including Apple, Google, Youtube and Facebook.

I have been building / designing websites professionally for around 7-8 years now. Working as both a freelancer and within full time positions at digital agencies. I am quite happy to take lead roles in projects as I do have a lot of experience in doing so. I have been developing with JavaScript for around 5 years, using a vast array of frameworks and libraries.

In my spare time I work on my side project MYOF Clothing. At the moment it is a one man brand, where I take care of hand screen printing apparel, design, photography and all things that come alone with running a streetwear brand.
